In 2025, London Gatwick launched the Gatwick Region Airport Economic Zone (AEZ) – the UK’s first aviation-powered economic zone. Bringing together local authorities, education providers and private sector partners, the AEZ champions long-term, sustainable and inclusive growth. At its core is a commitment to a single regional voice, aligning infrastructure, innovation, skills and investment to position the Gatwick Region as the connected choice for knowledge-driven businesses.
